This life-size sculpture by Maria Kirby-Smith was commissioned to honor Dr. Joe Christian, founder of The Bog Garden at Benjamin Park. Dr. Joe was well-known for his “plant rescues”, where he and his “Bog Buddies” would collect plant specimens from sites that were to be developed, and relocate them to The Bog.
