While visiting the different parks along the Downtown Greenway you may notice these colorful painted boxes next to any of the many drinking fountains. These boxes are actually covers for the backflow preventers related to the drinking fountains. Artist Laura Lashley from Winston-Salem was commissioned to turn these necessary boxes into bright works of art. You can find them at Woven Works Park, LoFi Park, Morehead Park, and at the Tradition Cornerstone: Meeting Place.
