Australian muralist Adnate, in collaboration with Canadian artist Jessica Crema, painted this mural depicting Tecumseh, a member of the Lumbee and Tuscarora tribes in North Carolina. Tecumseh was photographed by Adnate in his Tuscarora regalia. The mural celebrates the history of the Tuscarora Tribe in North Carolina regions. Local developer Marty Kotis funded this project, along with a number of new murals around the city, in an effort to bring more art to Greensboro and in turn make the city more attractive to young people.
Drivers heading south on Battleground Avenue can see the portrait on the side of the Midtown Financial Advisors building in the Midtown district.
