To commemorate Greensboro’s rich history with the denim and textile industry, Wrangler, VF Jeanswear spearheaded a public art project, dubbed “Jeansboro”, of painted jeans sculptures throughout Downtown Greensboro. The project started with a contest for Guilford County high school students who submitted their designs to be chosen for the 3D jean statues. Since Jeansboro’s initial launch in 2015 of 6 painted jean art works on Elm street, the number of jeans throughout downtown has multiplied. You can find Jeansboro statues throughout downtown, at PTI airport, and at the Greensboro Science Center.
